Lisner
Minimize

Currently (June 2009) The Lisner jewelry name is currently owned by the Jones Apparel Group which also owns Anne Klein, Gloria Vanderbilt, Napier and others.  Lisner is not currently listed on the "brands" list on their website www.jonesapparel.com.  In an article on RCJ, it is mentioned that Lisner jewelry has not been manufactured since around the mid-1980's.  When searching newspaper archives, we found ads from 1940 to 1977 - see box to the right for gallery of ads.

The RCJ site (Illusion Jewels) has lots of terrific info on Lisner marks and a couple of nice articles on the history of the company.    From RCJ - the D. Lisner company was founded in 1904 and primarily imported jewelry for wholesale into the 1930s.     Then later on they depended on the Providence Rhode Island companies to produce their items.
